Canyoning Guide (m/f) – Emission of Authorisation Certificate

Requirements

The present authorisation certificate shall be issued on the basis of a written registration of the activity by an authority within eights weeks after having obtained the necessary supporting documents (according to paragraph § 57e Oö. Tourismusgesetz 2018, if the applicant (m/f) meets the general perquisites according to paragraph § 57c Oö. Tourismusgesetz 2018 and if the applicant (m/f) has the necessary professional competence required for the registered activity according to paragraph § 57d Oö. Tourismusgesetz 2018. The registration must contain the precise designation of the activity to be carried out and the indication of the location in which the intended activity will be carried out.

According to paragraph § 57c Oö. Tourismusgesetz 2018, the authorisation certificate for the exercise of the activity of a canyoning guide  (m/f) can be only issued to a natural person meeting the following prerequisites:

  • The person is at least 18 years old,
  • The person has the necessary reliability,
  • The person is in a proper state of health and
  • Is proven to have taken out sufficient liability insurance.

The admission certificate for the exercise of the activity as canyoning guide (m/f) will be issued for a determined location.

Only people who have obtained an admission certificate for the exercise of the activity as canyoning guide (m/f) are allowed to use the designation “canyoning guide (m/f)”.

People who are not issued an admission certificate are obliged to comply with the general exercise rules according to paragraph § 57f Oö. Tourismusgesetz 2018.

COSTS:

Regional Administration Fee according to tax regulation of the Land of Oberösterreich 2011

For the concession of authorisation: 52 Euro

Fees according to the Fees Act of 1957:

For the insertion of the application: 47.30 Euro;

For the annexes which have to be attached to the application: 3.90 Euro Per sheet*, but no more than 21.80 Euro per annexes;

For the issue of the authorisation: 83.60 Euro.

* Sheet means a sheet of paper whose page height does not exceed the size of twice 210 mm X 297 mm in one or both directions. For sheets of paper exceeding this size, double fees will be applied.
